Myfortic General Information
Myfortic (generic name: mycophenolic acid / mycophenolate; brand names include: Myfortic) is an immunosuppressant.
Myfortic is used in combination with other medicines to prevent rejection of transplanted organs (e.g. kidney, liver, or heart).
Myfortic Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take your medicine exactly as directed.
The normal adult dose to prevent rejection is usually 2 g or 3 g per day, depending on which organ has been transplanted.
Myfortic Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Triamterene, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have any serious medical conditions;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
