Muscle Relaxer General Information
Muscle Relaxer (generic name: Flavoxate) is an urinary antispasmodic medicine.
Muscle Relaxer is used in the treatment of conditions which cause muscle spasms of the urinary tract.
Muscle Relaxer is indicated for:
symptomatic relief of dysuria, urgency, nocturia, suprapubic pain, frequency and incontinence as may occur in cystitis, prostatitis, urethritis, urethrocystitis/urethrotrigonitis.
Muscle Relaxer relieves pain, burning, urinary urgency and frequency and other symptoms associated with urinary tract infections, bladder infections and prostate infections.
Muscle Relaxer Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Muscle Relaxer exactly as directed.
The usual dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age:
1 or 2 100 mg tablets 3 or 4 times a day. With improvement of symptoms, the dose may be reduced.
Muscle Relaxer Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Muscle Relaxer, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have a condition which causes a blockage of the stomach, bowel, or urinary tract; or you suffer from bleeding from the stomach or bowel;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
